Awards given to the Manila Southwoods Golf Course

The Manila Southwoods in Carmona, Cavite is perhaps the most-awarded golf course in the country. Asian PGA Tour Venue of the Year 1999 and 2000. Number 1 golf club in the Philippines by Golf Digest 1999. The Masters' 10th Hole among the 500 Best Holes in the world by Golf Asia 1999. Best Golf Course in the Philippines and first runner-up as Asia's Best Championship Course for the Year 2000 by the Asian Golf Monthly. First in the Asia Pacific to be a fully-certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System (1999). Recipient of the International Award for Environmental Stewardship from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).

Tournaments Held at the Manila Southwoods Golf Course

A world-class venue for international tournaments, The Manila Southwoods opened in October 1992 its Legends Course with a Tom Kite-John Daly Shoot-out. Since then, it has hosted, among others, the Philippine Open, the Mitsubishi-Southwoods Open, the UBIX-Philippine Open, and the World Amateur Golf Team Championship. Today, the Legends Course has to its name a best score of 64 hit by Sweden's Daniel Olsson in the 1996 World Amateur Golf Team Championship.

The Masters Course opened in November 1993 with a Jack and Jackie Nicklaus exhibition. Among its tournaments are the Philippine Open, the World Amateur Golf Team Championship, the Mitsubishi Southwoods Open, the Casino Filipino-Philippine Open, and the Casino Filipino Open.
